Going to use liquor companies to promote this snack. Going to sign big names in hollywood and the liquor they like to drink. Trying to shoot for endorsement deals. Get the word out mouth to mouth. This is a bar snack so I'm finding it a little hard to figure out a promotion strategy. Need to set a budget. Need a big name but not someone who is going to bankrupt the company. This isnt for profits its for the products. So there needs to be a set plan. Research what is hip, what people desire, need Experiments to see if the snack gives positive feedback. Trying to bring a well known snack that the world knows of aside from the U.S. is tricky.

Distribution
I'm going for nice bars, not the ones filled with 21 year olds who are still trying to figure how to do taxes every year. Bars with people who go in a for a drink and know what kind of drink they want. Targeting bars nationwide ofcourse distributed mainly in the bigger socialite cities. Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles etc.
"n the past, many companies used a single channel to sell to a single market or market segment. Today, with the proliferation of customer segments and channel possibilities, more and more companies have adopted multichannel distribution systems—often called hybrid marketing channels. Such multichannel marketing occurs when a single firm sets up two or more marketing channels to reach one or more customer segments. The use of multichannel systems has increased greatly in recent years."
How is it going to be distributed? Only in bars? What kind of Bars?

Price
"To some consumers, “value” might mean sensible products at affordable prices, especially in the aftermath of the recent downward economic spiral. To other consumers, however, value might mean paying more to get more."
The price, this I have been thinking on for quite some time. How much would I want to spend at a bar for a snack. I'm going to price this product at $6. To me since this product will be distributed to nicer bars. Bars that you see in the movies, you got some money to spend. Im not trying to run you dry also since you are trying to buy drinks for that pretty lady at the end of the bar. You are buying for the VALUE of what a Phileas Fogg snack is which is adventure, love, culture and experience.

SWOT Analysis
"An overall evaluation of the company’s strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T)." (Marketing: An Introduction 10th edition pg.
"Strengths include internal capabilities, resources, positive situational factors that may help the company to serve its customers and achieve its objectives. Weaknesses include internal limitations and negative situational factors that may interfere with the company’s performance. Opportunities are favorable factors or trends in the external environment that the company may be able to exploit to its advantage. And threats are unfavorable external factors or trends that may present challenges to performance." (Marketing: An Introduction 10th edition pg.
The strengths is that it brings a culturally diverse way of making chips into bars it seems as though it is an upscale snack if a company is willing to go above and beyond to create or bring a delicacy from a different country into american bars is a step in the direction of their goal. Their goal which is to bring people closer. To get people out of their own lives and talk to communicate to live!
The weaknesses is that no matter how much you explain the snack at the end of the day it is just a chip. Chips can be sold anywhere for a much more reasonable price. What does this specific chip bring to the table. You can even make your own chips at home. So other chips sold at a cheaper price can definitely hurt this products ability to outshine its competitors. Thats where our team for promotion has to come in.
Opportunities.... its a healthy snack it provides the saltiness that the other chips provide but not the fact of it being a potato chip. People want to be healthy but when you drink who cares you want salty and greasy foods thats where if you can get both you'll think your being healthy while eating this snack right?

Objectives
"The company needs to turn its mission into detailed supporting objectives for each level of management. Each manager should have objectives and be responsible for reaching them." (Marketing: An Introduction 10th edition pg. 40)
- To get people to get closer to each other.
- To give people a sense of home in a single bite while also giving some a taste of adventure and wanting to travel
I feel the objectives for any product is to have them do well everyone wants a product that they have created to change the world. To somehow make it a better place. As a company it is your objective to always put your customers first. Everything you do is for the consumers.
- keep the customers happiness in mind.
- Do not have your main goal to be "the profits"
A company needs to be built a upon morals but also needs to be a business. Its all a competition. Your product is the one that matters the most. How are you going to outshine your competitors? How are you going to market this product to? Who are you going to market this product to? All these questions you have to ask yourself while setting up your companies objectives.

Mission Statement
“Mission statement is a statement of the organizations
purpose-what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment. A clear mission
statement acts as an ‘invisible hand’ that guides people in the organization”.
Our company’s mission
is to give anyone the ability to get a taste of delicacies from anywhere in the
world. These snacks give some a taste of home while others a taste of wanting
to travel. These snacks are meant to bring people closer whether it is
intimately or just socially.
“Mission statement should be meaningful and specific yet
motivating”.
The Jamaican Roasted Plantain chips are meant to be a conversation starter. They're to gives those with different backgrounds a chance to relive their childhood in a single bite. They are experiences form around the world. Life is too short for bad food, negative energy, and bad experiences.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch
What the
Phileas Fogg company is trying to offer is to give a new look and a new
direction for the Phileas Fogg snacks. They are plain, boring, and no one is
going to want to share that snack with anyone at a bar to try and get close for
a hookup. What we are proposing now is to give the snacks a new flair with
adventures and new flavors to ensure them to be a great conversation starter.
To remind some people of home or to give them an experience to travel the world
with any of the new flavors by giving them a sense of adventure as Mr. Fogg did
while on his journey coming by these snacks through love. One flavor I'm going
to introduce you to is the Jamaican Salt Roasted Plantain chips. They are the
more healthier form of chips but they still have the saltiness as do the chips
so make sure you grab that drink and offer it to that pretty lady sitting alone
at the end of the bar. You get the taste of the Caribbean’s in a single
bite.
Initially
anyone can eat a bag of salty chips and move on with their life and nothing
happen you don’t talk to anyone its just you and the bag. When this certain
product is only sold in nice bars where you dress to impress. You want
something more than just a bag of chips you want an experience to go with it.
The choice will forever be yours do you choose to just eat or do you choose to
take an adventure when you eat where you get the food, the liquor, and the
girl? Your choice.
