Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

What the Phileas Fogg company is trying to offer is to give a new look and a new direction for the Phileas Fogg snacks. They are plain, boring, and no one is going to want to share that snack with anyone at a bar to try and get close for a hookup. What we are proposing now is to give the snacks a new flair with adventures and new flavors to ensure them to be a great conversation starter. To remind some people of home or to give them an experience to travel the world with any of the new flavors by giving them a sense of adventure as Mr. Fogg did while on his journey coming by these snacks through love. One flavor I'm going to introduce you to is the Jamaican Salt Roasted Plantain chips. They are the more healthier form of chips but they still have the saltiness as do the chips so make sure you grab that drink and offer it to that pretty lady sitting alone at the end of the bar. You get the taste of the Caribbean’s in a single bite.

Initially anyone can eat a bag of salty chips and move on with their life and nothing happen you don’t talk to anyone its just you and the bag. When this certain product is only sold in nice bars where you dress to impress. You want something more than just a bag of chips you want an experience to go with it. The choice will forever be yours do you choose to just eat or do you choose to take an adventure when you eat where you get the food, the liquor, and the girl? Your choice.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

"More companies are trying to tap Facebook Inc.'s 750-million-plus user base to find new employees" says Joe Light in his article for The Wall street journal. Its seems that companies now a days are beginning to see that the go to tool is social media. With all these new products coming out companies need to find to outlets to get the word out about them. Its easy when "People love talking about things that make them happy—including their favorite products and brands" in reference from Armstrong & Kotler's book Marketing: An Introduction. Word of mouth seems to be the best networking source. So all the companies now are starting to search on blog posts and social media sites and employing those already talking about their brands training them so in return for them mentioning the products to their already established fanbase they get intel on new products or first try on products, gift backs, or even gift cards towards company stores. The companies are initially saving money without having to go to job boards and just going directly to people who benefit them as future employees instead. There are pros and cons towards different communities I feel that for the younger generations who live on social media are benefited the most but also not with the lack of experience and with older generations who are learning about social media go and apply for jobs the old fashioned way in a nice suit and your resumé. The companies are the main ones benefiting entirely while gaining profit and publicity.. Is that fair? Jobs are now just a click away.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

I am referred to as a Millennial. Born in a world filled with some advanced technology. I feel as though I was born with the wrong generation, I’m so thankful I was born in a generation where technology has advanced our knowledge so much to where it expanded the way we diagnose medical problems or the even the way we catch people as police officers. My generation has opened up doors to things we have never imagined to be so dependent on. And yet those things we depend on have crutched our lives in ways that we need and even crave them that they are distancing us from the people we care about and even people who we could potentially care about. Everyone seems to be stuck in their own little bubble to the point that this generations is the reason relationships don’t work. But we make them work, the last generation are so stubborn in trying to control us and bring us up on their ways but its our turn to play videogames, struggle through college, make mistakes, and even be the generation of the most successful. More and more students are graduating high school and venturing into further schooling such as community colleges and Universities. I may have an old soul but I am happy to be apart of this successful generation and being able to venture into schooling to learn as much as I can and honestly find something I am extremely passionate about.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

The Honest Co. is a sustainable and organic baby-product company founded by Golden Globe-nominated actress Jessica Alba and former CEO (Healthy Child Healthy World nonprofit) Christopher Gavigan. Their mission is "Together we can make it better" -Christopher Gavigan. They wanted safe, eco-friendly and affordable baby products. Their goal was too relieve you of a few tasks by delivering the best to your doorstep. It began with something as simple as re-defining the “family brand”. Everyone has an idea about making the world a better place. From being a world known actress to becoming a full time mom has changed her the better in a short article on her website she says and I quote, “When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been”. And on other side of the Honest Co. duo is Christopher coming from a non-profit focusing on children and having three children himself he said “Parents get a lot of advice about what to feed their children and how to baby-proof their home….. but many are still unaware of the toxic risks posed by everyday basics, like diapers, home cleaners, body washers, and laundry soaps”. Their idea is to help those realize all the dangerous and expensive products that the media keeps shoving down your throats everyday and everywhere. I chose this company because they are their own Profit organizations and created their own non-profit. We honestly need more people in the world like them to make a difference in the world and open up people’s eyes to the toxic products we put in and on our bodies.
