The
Honest Co. is a sustainable and organic baby-product company founded by Golden
Globe-nominated actress Jessica Alba and former CEO (Healthy Child Healthy
World nonprofit) Christopher Gavigan. Their mission is "Together we can
make it better" -Christopher Gavigan. They wanted safe, eco-friendly and affordable
baby products. Their goal was too relieve you of a few tasks by delivering the
best to your doorstep. It began with something as simple as re-defining the “family
brand”. Everyone has an idea about making the world a better place. From being
a world known actress to becoming a full time mom has changed her the better in
a short article on her website she says and I quote, “When I became a mom, I
finally became the person I am, that I always should have been”. And on other
side of the Honest Co. duo is Christopher coming from a non-profit focusing on
children and having three children himself he said “Parents get a lot of advice
about what to feed their children and how to baby-proof their home….. but many
are still unaware of the toxic risks posed by everyday basics, like diapers,
home cleaners, body washers, and laundry soaps”. Their idea is to help those
realize all the dangerous and expensive products that the media keeps shoving
down your throats everyday and everywhere. I chose this company because they
are their own Profit organizations and created their own non-profit. We
honestly need more people in the world like them to make a difference in the
world and open up people’s eyes to the toxic products we put in and on our
bodies.
